The images are indexed with the information from the microfilm or microfiche often found on the microfilm box, microfiche header or from the aperture card. Once the microfilm has been loaded with this index you are able to search from your desktop for any of the microfilm records; an ideal way to improve efficiency whilst ensuring the security of the data and preserve it for the future.

Document Scanning Solutions can offer a microfilm scanning on demand service if you hold a large archive of microfilm or microfiche. With this service you can regain your office space while retaining swift access to the microfilm records. Document Scanning Solutions would store your microfilm and offer to scan a certain file upon request. The file can then be emailed back to your desk. This eliminates the cost to scan all of the microfilm records and puts them in the hands of the professionals to aid in your task to preserve the microfilm records for the future.
